Farm History

In 1613 the Farm was bought by Cardinal Scipione Borghese and from that date onwards remained a Borghese family property in heritage. The Farm is located in the area between Via Casilina and Via Prenestina, 20 km far from Rome centre, it  is characterized by archeological ruins of the preroman city of Gabi, whose we can admire the Temple of Giunone, that nowadays it is part of a wide archeological site.

The Farm is crossed by the Alessandrino acqueduct, built on the first half of  III century D.C. by Alessandro Severo. At present the Farm is fully  dedicated to cattle breeding for fresh milk production classified high quality. Besides cattle breeding activity it grows fodder plants for the animals (corn, grass meadow) and extensive cereal growing (wheat).

In the middle of the big Farm it has been restored a wide Hall for party and special events, fully equipped with kitchen and toilets.  Several rural apartments have been restored and turned into wholly furnished apartments for farm holidays. In the Farm there is a private Chapel where the Holy Mess is celebrated every Sunday and religious ceremonies too.
